Fauth Collection

Georges Fauth, cooper, collection – Sion. This collection was offered to the Wine Museum in 2015 by the City of Sion, which acquired it in 1987.

Large compass in wood, used to measure the diameter of the bottom of the barrel while it is being made. (Vin 3161)

Skimmer or adze used to trim, an operation that consisted of scraping out a small une petite bit on the inside surface of the two ends of a barrel, where the bases would go. (Vin 3565)
