For students (approximately) ages 8 to 11 (Harmos years 5 to 8 in the Swiss system).
Interactive guided visit of the Wine Museum in Salgesch, 5 minutes by car from Sierre. Hike along the Vineyards Trail.
An excursion with an educational and instructive goal, centred around the world of vines and wine.
The Wine Museum offers a visit adapted to the age of the children, with fun activities designed to help them understand different themes linked to viticulture: the beginnings of grapevines in Valais, building dry stone walls, tools for working the vines, harvest time, etc.
Next, you can follow the Vineyards Trail, an easy hike of about 3 kilometres, to a picnic area. While on the trail you’ll cross the Raspille Gorge and find the grape varieties collection (every wine grape grown in Valais!). You will then return to Salgesch or continue along the trail to Sierre, passing through Miège, Veyras and Muraz.
